Full-time courses in the new year
19th December 2013 12:59pm - Return to press releases
East Riding College is offering a range of full-time courses for young people who would like to study full-time from January.
These include the newly launched work-related Traineeships and vocational college courses across a range of subjects.
Traineeships are being rolled out nationally to help young people gain work experience and improve their essential skills so they can make their first steps on the career ladder.
The College has teamed up with local and national employers to organise work experience placements which are key to the success of the Traineeships.
The courses are aimed at people aged 16 to 23 who are keen to work as soon as possible and include help with interview techniques and CV writing.
The vocational college courses are designed to introduce learners to a variety of sectors and the opportunities within them.
They are available in the following subject areas: art and performing arts, caring for children, construction, engineering, IT and business, public services, sports and active leisure, and travel and tourism.
For more information about Traineeships, read our news story, and for details of vocational college courses, read this leaflet.
Part-time courses for adults can be found in this course guide.
