Inaugural design conference open to public and business

Degree students from East Riding College are holding their inaugural creative media conference and exhibition at Beverley Minster on May 14.
The event, entitled VII Visions, has been organised by final year students on the BA (Hons) in Contemporary Media Design and Production and will showcase the best work from learners in all disciplines of media and design.
The students will also give presentations on their final dissertations and there will be networking opportunities following the event.
Former theatre, film and TV actor and director Richard Avery has been confirmed as a guest keynote speaker for the conference.

Lecturer Adam Corkett said: “The conference will be the culmination of three years of hard work by the students and will bring down the curtain on their degree.
“It will be a chance to meet some of our brightest students and network with others working in media and design in East Yorkshire so we welcome business people and individuals who would like to attend.”

This event is set to take place at the Beverley Minster on the May 14. Doors will open at 10.30am with the first speaker at 11am. A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
