Speakers confirmed for Energy Technology Centre launch

Leading figures in the energy sector have been confirmed to speak at the launch of East Riding College’s Energy Technology Centre (ETC) next month.
The event will be held at the Tickton Grange Hotel, near Beverley, on Thursday, June 19, at 10.30am, and a limited number of places are still available.
It will be a chance for SMEs in the region to find out how they can benefit from opportunities associated with the growth in the sector and to network with others who have the same objectives.

The confirmed speakers are:

  • Peter Aarosin, Chairman Hull and Humber Bondholders, Humber LEP board member, managing director of Danbrit Shipping
  • Gareth Russell, business development manager Humber, Associated British Ports
  • Graham Stuart, Beverley and Holderness MP
  • Sam Pick, director of Renewables Network.
  • Richard Webster, manager of the Energy Technology Centre.

Mr Webster said: “We are delighted to have secured speakers who really are at the heart of developments in the energy sector in the Humber.
“This promises to be an excellent event and we have had a very positive response from the local business community, with only a small number of tickets remaining.”

The ETC provides facilities for small to medium enterprises (SMEs), corporate support services and links to training across a range of business, energy and environmental services.
These include consultancy services in areas such as tendering, sustainability and equality and diversity, all of which are crucial to winning business from major corporations.
The ETC will also offer advice and assistance on energy efficiency as well as environmental audits at business premises and a range of seminars, workshops and other events.

Businesses which would like to attend the ETC launch event can register at www.energytech.org.uk/events, email [email protected] or call Richard Webster on 01262 455026. More information about the ETC can be found at www.energytech.org.uk
