Free music and media taster on offer in Hull

Free taster sessions for people who are considering studying music or media are available in Hull next week.
The sessions are open to school leavers and 17 and 18-year-olds, and are an opportunity to find out more about music and media courses which are on offer at East Riding College from September.
Topics include music technology, recording and promoting bands and solo performers, performance techniques, improving to professional levels and video promotion.
Gareth Sykes, head of creative arts, performance and IT, said: “These taster sessions are an excellent opportunity to discover more about our music and media courses that are on offer at our Hull site.
“You’ll be able to meet our friendly and knowledgeable tutors and have a look at the excellent IT suites and music studios, which were fully refitted and refurbished at the beginning of 2015.”
The tasters will be held over three Fridays, starting on May 8, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. East Riding College’s Hull site is in St James Street, off English Street near Kingston Retail Park.
