Learn ancient hair removal technique

People who would like to learn the ancient hair removal technique of threading can take advantage of a forthcoming course at East Riding College.
The Level Two Threading course is aimed at those working in the beauty therapy industry and will take place over three Mondays from February 22, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
It covers topics such as: preparation for threading services; health and safety; consultation; contraindications; structure of the skin and hair; threading techniques; and aftercare. The course will take place at the College’s Bridlington campus, in St Mary’s Walk.

Natalee Eddom, head of hair and beauty, said: “Threading has become very popular in salons in recent years. It has been used in Arabic and Asian countries for centuries, and it is a fast, neat and inexpensive method of hair removal.
“Threading allows for a more defined and precise shape and can create better definition for eyebrows, and will be an excellent addition to the services offered at any salon.”
