Sign up for free Easter soccer school

Young people are being offered the chance to take part in a free one-day soccer school at East Riding College during the Easter holidays.
The Your Next Goal event will take place at the College’s campus in St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington, from 10am to 3pm on Thursday, April 7.
It is aimed at 15 to 17-year-olds, though people of other ages can request a place.

Sports tutor Ash Allanson said: “This soccer school is a great opportunity to brush up on your football skills and knowledge, and to do something fun during the holidays.
“Our aim is to show potential future students how the sports team work practically at East Riding College and how this links in with the courses we deliver.
“It’s also a great chance to come and have a look at the College’s sports facilities and meet the tutors.”

The event will include a soccer masterclass, looking at techniques, skills and tactics, as well as a gym session focusing on fitness for football.
The guest speakers will be Bridlington Town players Will Waudby and Andy Norfolk, who are established youngsters in the team and are currently studying degrees in sport after recently completing BTEC sport diplomas.

All participants will be entered into a prize draw for East Riding College sports kits vouchers.
