18th August 2016 4:20pm - Return to press releases
Students at East Riding College are celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate in their A-level exams.
The figure includes a grade A and B percentage of 35 per cent, with every student on the full-time A-level programme being accepted by their first choice university, including one who will attend the prestigious Kings College London.
The College runs a full-time A-level programme at its Bridlington campus and also allows students to add an A-level to BTEC diploma courses, as well as having adults study for one or two A-levels part-time.
Vice Principal Rhys Davies said: “This is an excellent set of results for our A-level students and sits alongside our excellent achievement rates for vocational courses.
“To secure a 100 per cent pass rate is a real achievement and everyone who is involved deserves congratulations.”
He added: “I’m delighted that we have finished this academic year on such a high note, following on from the opening of our new Beverley campus in September 2015 and the very complimentary Ofsted report we received in March.
“We now go into the new year with ambitions to continue increasing our success rates in vocational and academic courses, as well as apprenticeships, which we have recruited in record numbers in 2015/16.”
East Riding College has campuses in Beverley, Bridlington and Hull and offers full and part-time vocational courses, A-levels, apprenticeships and a range of degrees and other higher level courses.
The College is now enrolling for September starts in all courses. For more information, drop in to a campus, call 0345 120 0044 or visit www.eastridingcollege.ac.uk
