Travel and Tourism students report back on 'Face 2 Face' industry event
27th February 2018 7:10pm - Return to press releases
Two lucky travel and tourism students were invited to TIPTO Face 2 Face held at the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel. This is an industry event for the travel sector, providing updates, offers, incentives, all the latest product training and the chance to network. Travel professionals attend to learn what's new and what's selling. During the evening the students also enjoyed a two course dinner and had the chance to win some amazing prizes. Here, they report back on their 'Face 2 Face' experience!
I was looking forward to going to the TIPTO event beforehand, but wasn’t sure what to expect. I recognised some of the independent tour operators that attended the event, but some I had not been familiar with in the past but I am now! I found the event very useful and gained lots of knowledge and information, which will help me in my studies and hopefully future career.

Before I attended the TIPTO event, I was not sure what to except as I hadn’t been to anything like it previously. When we arrived at the venue we were taken into a dining room and sat down with another company, this instantly allowed us to meet new people and learn about each of their experiences over a meal. The ‘speed dating’ activity was interesting and very informative. Some of the stations had activities to do which really kept us engaged as there was a number of stations to get around. Overall, I enjoyed the event and think it will be beneficial to my studies and future career.
