Eco-Modular Buildings live up to their training champion title

Eco Modular, recent winners of the East Riding College Training Championaward have put twenty of their team through an NVQ in Innovative Modern Methods in Construction with the College.

The Hull-based modular building company, which specialises in high quality and cost effective environmentally-friendly buildings has prioritised the development of its staff and also employs seven joinery apprentices. 

Paul Robson, Chief Operations Officer for the company said, “Our investment in staff development is key to our growth.  The Innovative Modern Methods of Construction qualification is perfect for our staff who are working in a specialist industry and meets our own standards of the highest levels of craftsmanship.”

Gary Simm, Head of Curriculum for Construction and Engineering at East Riding College said, “Eco Modular have a strategic approach to training and workforce development, which has enabled them to take advantage of funding that the College can access to upskill individuals in their jobs.”

The training was funded by the Skills Support for the Workforce, a programme to support small and medium-sized enterprises with their business growth plans by upskilling their existing workforce.
