Free community event - outdoor cinema at East Riding College Bridlington

East Riding College are hosting an open air cinema event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their St Mary’s Walk campus in Bridlington on Friday 6 September.  The free community event will show a double bill of Shrek and The Greatest Showman on a giant digital screen on the College’s sports field.  The event is open to students, staff, ex-students and Bridlington residents and tickets are free.

To mark the ten year anniversary of the opening of the Bridlington campus, the College’s ‘class of 2009’ are also invited as special VIPs for the evening.  Alumni should contact [email protected] if they studied at the Bridlington campus when it opened in 2009, to secure their special VIP tickets.

Doors open at 4pm and the first showing will be at 4.30pm.  Alongside the movie double bill, there will be children’s activities, and food and drink vendors, including Stuart’s Fish & Chips, Rustic Rover Pizza, Dreamshakers Ice Cream and The Prosecco Cube.

Guests - children and adults alike - are also encouraged to attend dressed as their favourite character from either film, or to dress up along the fairy-tale or circus theme and enter a fancy dress competition to win Love to Shop vouchers.

The College are encouraging guests to bring along their own camping chairs and picnics, making it a free, fun activity for families and students alike.  Singing and dancing along to the film’s soundtracks will be encouraged, and The Greatest Showman will be a ‘singalong’ screening.
