We currently have a unique opportunity available for the right candidate – we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Tutor of Electrical Installation, with a view for the right candidate to progress into the role of Curriculum Leader.  If you are a team player who is passionate about delivering outstanding teaching and learning and helping our learners reach their full potential, then we want to hear from you!

The Position

As a Tutor of Electrical Installation, you will take a key role in the delivery and development of the Construction curriculum area, and ensure that students are having the best experience possible at the College.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention.  The post will be based primarily at our brand new Flemingate site in Beverley, with some travel to our fantastic St Mary’s Walk site in Bridlington. 

You must have relevant industrial experience onsite and/or in a workshop environment, recent and relevant teaching experience within the curriculum area and the ability to implement initiatives and other developments relevant to the curriculum area.

Ideally, you will possess a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), an NVQ level 3 or above in the subject area (Brickwork) and hold assessors awards.

The Position

As an AAT Tutor, you will take a key role in the delivery and development of the College’s newly formed Centre for Professional Development, the new umbrella brand for a suite of nationally recognised, quality professional programmes, and ensure that students are having the best experience possible at the College.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention.  The post will be based between our fantastic sites at Flemingate, Beverley, St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington, and St James, Hull.

Applicants must have experience of delivering AAT Level 2 and AAT Computerised Accounts Level 2, and have recent and relevant teaching experience.  Experience of working with accounting apprentices would also be useful.  Recent commercial experience would also be desirable.

Ideally, the successful applicant will possess a relevant AAT level 3 or equivalent business related qualification, a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), or be willing to work towards this, and hold or be willing to gain Level 2 (or equivalent) Literacy and Numeracy qualifications.

This is an hourly paid post, on a part-time basis, with working hours and days to be agreed.
