The Position

As a Junior Content Producer Assessor, you will carry out work place assessments for apprentices and other work-based learners for subjects such as Junior Content Producer and other media based apprenticeships, within the prescribed routines set by the awarding bodies and the College Quality Manual. You will train, assess and review learners in the College and workplace, guiding and supporting them through their course.  

The postholder will be based at our fantastic Flemingate site in Beverley but be willing to travel between all the College sites and to work placements, meetings and to arrange and take part in learner/employer visits.

The Position

The Position

As an Assistant Exams Officer, you will assist with all aspects of the examinations process, including the administration of tests and exams, and maintaining learner records.  You will provide advice, guidance and support in relation to examinations and awarding bodies, and work proactively to resolve issues and ensure compliance with awarding body regulations. 

The post will be based one of our fantastic College sites in either Beverley or Bridlington, to be agreed with the successful candidate, with frequent travel between the sites. 

What we need from you

You will have experience in the use of data processing and Management Information Systems, as well as strong administrative skills.  You will have good IT skills, and the ability to prioritise and organise your workload.

Candidates will be qualified up to level 2, including English and Maths.  Knowledge of examination processes and Awarding Body requirements would be desirable.

The Position

As an AAT tutor, you will take a key role in the delivery and development of the College’s newly formed Centre for Professional Development, the new umbrella brand for a suite of nationally recognised, quality professional programmes, and ensure that students are having the best possible experience at the College.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention. 

There are various hours available for the right candidate, and these can be flexible to work around current commitments.  We have programmes running at all East Riding College sites in Beverley, Bridlington and Hull.

Applicants must have experience of delivering AAT Level 2, AAT Computerised Accounts Level 2, and AAT Level 3 and have recent and relevant teaching experience.  Experience of working with accounting apprentices would also be useful.

Ideally, the successful applicant will possess at least an AAT Level 3 qualification (and ideally Level 4) or equivalent business related qualification, a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), or be willing to work towards this, and hold or be willing to gain Level 2 (or equivalent) Literacy and Numeracy qualifications.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant industrial experience and experience of delivering training and assessing in a multi skilled range of Hospitality & Catering with a particular focus on Hospitality. You will understand assessment criteria, including End Point Assessment and have a detailed knowledge of Hospitality and Catering Standards. You will possess a level 3 in both Hospitality & Catering and a relevant Assessor qualification. You will also hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy and a teaching qualification, (Cert Ed/PGCE).
