East Riding College currently has an exciting opportunity available to join our Client Services and Enrichment team, in the role of Client Services Assistant.  The Client Services Assistant is a key role within the College, and the successful candidate will be providing a high level of customer service to students, staff and the general public.

The Position

As a Client Services Assistant, you will provide a reception service to students, staff and the general public, being a first point of contact for all face to face, telephone, email, web and postal enquiries.  You will be involved in processing learner enrolments, and provide administrative support for the College’s admissions process and learner financial support.  You will also provide information and advice on the courses offered by the College.  This post will be based at our fantastic, state of the art site at Flemingate, Beverley.

The working hours for this post are currently 3 evenings per week, from 4 pm – 8 pm, Monday and Tuesday, and 4:30 pm – 8 pm, Wednesday, during term time, although there can be some flexibility around the start times of these hours.  During half terms and school holidays, the hours can be arranged flexibly between 08:30 am and 5:00 pm, in agreement with the line manager.

You will have experience of working within a customer service or education environment and have good IT skills.  Clerical and administrative experience would be advantageous.  You will need the ability to retain a lot of information in a short period of time. You will have high order communication skills and IT skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and confidence in dealing with a wide range of customers.  You will be educated to level 2 standard (GCSE A* - C equivalent) including Mathematics and English, and have excellent organisational skills.

The Position

As an Assistant Data Analyst, you will assist the College’s Data Analyst in the development of reporting and data management systems across the College, working with end-users to agree specifications and reporting requirements.  You will support both the MIS Manager and Data Analyst with data return requirements and work closely with curriculum areas across the College.

The post will be based at our new state of the art campus in Beverley, with some possible travel between our campuses in Bridlington and Hull.

You will have experience in the use of management information systems, and of data analysis and report writing.  You will have high level IT skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.  Knowledge of post-16 funding methodologies, including FE and HE, would be desirable.

You will be educated to a level 3 standard, and have a minimum of level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.  You will have an IT related qualification or relevant experience, and be able to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
