The Position

 

As a Contract Compliance Assistant within the Contract Compliance team, you will be involved with quality checking enrolment forms and all supporting documentation for Apprenticeships, ensuring audit requirements are adhered to.  You will work together with the wider team to ensure all relevant learner information is logged onto both internal and external management information systems, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of data.  You will also be required to communicate and develop relationships with external customers. 

The post will be based at our state-of-the-art campus in Beverley, with some possible travel between our campuses in Bridlington and Hull.

 

What we Need from You

 

You will have data processing and previous administrative experience, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a busy and demanding workload.  Experience in the use of a variety of IT systems, particularly management information systems, would be desirable, along with knowledge of the education sector and funding agencies.

As a Guidance Officer, you will provide a professional, knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and responsive learner-focussed service, and provide a service that supports and facilitates learner participation, attendance, retention, achievement and progression.  You will work together with the wider Learner Services team to ensure the provision of a professional, high quality, integrated information, advice and guidance service which is accessible and available to all learners.  You will also provide information, advice and guidance to learners on the availability of support, financial support, welfare and counselling services.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant experience of providing information, advice and guidance, and knowledge of quality frameworks, including the National Matrix IAG award and the Quality in Careers Standard.  You will have strong interpersonal skills, as well as and understanding of the potential barriers to education for young people and adults.

You will possess a relevant level 3 qualification in a related area, or be willing to work towards this, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and have good communication and IT skills.  A careers education or information, advice and guidance qualification would be desirable.

The Position

An assessor for our Carpentry and Joinery courses, you will assess and review learners both in the College and workplace, guiding them through their apprenticeship course. You will provide appropriate support in the teaching of Joinery, and liaise with the College’s Compliance team to ensure timely completions.

What we need from you

You will have experience of working with and assessing students, as well as experience of working within a construction setting. You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, as well as a TAQA Assessors Award, or A1/A2 or D32/D33, updated to TAQA standards. You should also hold or be willing to undertake Level 2 (or equivalent) Literacy and Numeracy qualifications.  You will have the ability to communicate both written and verbally, and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, learners, placement providers and other organisations.
