The Position

As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will assist in the promotion of the College on its main social media channels and assist the curriculum areas in the production of relevant, interesting and innovative social media content.  You will work alongside the College’s digital agency to improve the performance of digital campaigns, as well as keep up to date with the latest innovations in digital content.

The post will be based at our fantastic site in Beverley, with some travel to our other College sites in Bridlington and Hull.

What we need from you

You will ideally have some previous experience ofsocial media as well as experience of working within a team.  You will have creative skills and good English Language and IT skills, be educated to GCSE/Level 2 and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.

The Apprenticeship

To develop your skills and support the work of the Marketing Team, you will undertake the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Junior Content Producer.  In addition you would receive comprehensive training to meet the skills needs of this role.

The course will last approximately 12 months.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through observation, underpinning knowledge questions, online tests and assignments, plus the development of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence.  There may also be a requirement to undertake level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

You will ideally have experience of data processing and administrative work, as well as experience of working within a team.  You will have excellent IT and communication skills, and the ability to work methodically with attention to detail.

You will have experience of dealing with enquiries in person, telephone and writing, and have high order communication and IT skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.  You will be educated to level 2 standard, including English and Maths.

You will possess a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Maths, a teaching qualification, (Cert Ed/PGCE), and Level 2 Literacy.  A relevant degree of Level 5 Numeracy Specialist qualification would be desirable.
