The Position

As an Assessor, you will carry out NVQ assessment within the prescribed routines set by the awarding bodies and the College Quality Manual.  The postholder will have a base at our fantastic Flemingate site in Beverley but will be travel between all the College sites and to work placements, meetings and to arrange and take part in learner/employer visits.

There are various flexible hours available, up to 30 hours per week.  Consideration will be given to any potential applications who wish to work part time hours.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant experience of assessing learners on Business Administration apprenticeship programmes within the workplace, ideally working with the new Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard. Experience of Internal Verification of NVQ’s would be highly desirable.

You will possess a level 3 Business Administration qualification, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and a TAQA Assessors Award or hold A1/A2 or D32/33 and have been updated to TAQA standards.

The Position

As a Counselling Tutor, you will take an active lead role in the delivery of counselling programmes, to ensure learners are having the best possible experience of College life.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention. 

There are various hours available for the right candidate, and these can be flexible to work around current commitments.  We have programmes running at all East Riding College sites in Beverley and Bridlington.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant experience within the curriculum area, as well as of teaching within an educational environment.  Experience of course coordination and knowledge of the curriculum would be advantageous. 

You will possess a relevant level 3 qualification in a related subject area, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and possess or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or PGCE).  A degree or equivalent professional/vocational qualification would be desirable, as would assessors awards.
