East Riding College currently has fantastic opportunities for three Tutors to become key members of our successful and supportive Early Years, Care and Access to Higher Education team. We are currently seeking a Psychology Tutor, a Biology Tutor and a Health and Social Care Tutor.

The Position

As a Tutor on our Early Years, Care and Access to HE programme, you will have a key role in the development of the curriculum, and will ensure that students are having the best possible experience at the College.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning and supporting your learners to maximise their achievements.  Health Science is the most popular pathway of our Access programme, with teaching focussed on related subjects.

This post is based at either our state of the art site at Flemingate, Beverley or our fantastic campus at St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington. The base site is to be agreed upon following a successful interview.

 What we need from you

 You will have recent and relevant experience of teaching, ideally in a post-16 context, and the ability to implement initiatives and other developments relevant to the curriculum area.  A degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the subject area is essential.  You will possess or be willing to gain a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), and possess a Level 3 qualification in the curriculum area.

The Position

As a CIPD Tutor, you will take a key role in the delivery and development of the College’s CIPD provision, and ensure that students are having the best experience possible at the College. You will be teaching both Level 3 and Level 5 programmes. You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention. The post will be based between our fantastic sites at Flemingate, Beverley and St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington.

Applicants must have experience of delivering CIPD Level 3 and Level 5. Ideally, the successful applicant will possess a CIPD Level 5, a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), or be willing to work towards this, and hold or be willing to gain Level 2 (or equivalent) Literacy and Numeracy qualifications. A specialist knowledge of employment law is desirable.

 What we need from you

 You will have recent and relevant industrial experience within the curriculum area, as well as of teaching within an educational environment. Evidence of Good or better teaching, learning and assessment would be advantageous, as well as knowledge of BTEC delivery. You will possess a relevant level 3 qualification in a related subject area, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and possess or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or PGCE). An Assessors award would be desirable, as would experience of construction site management.

The Position

The purpose of the role will be to plan and deliver assessments for Accounting Apprenticeship programmes, to prepare Accounting Apprentices for End Point Assessment, to support and undertake Accounting apprenticeship workplace reviews, and to deliver targeted support for Apprentices in specific accounting disciplines at Level 2 and 3.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant experience of assessing learners on Accounting apprenticeship programmes within the workplace. You will possess a level 3 Accounting qualification, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and a TAQA Assessors Award or hold A1/A2 or D32/33 and have been updated to TAQA standards.

You will possess a degree or equivalent professional/vocational qualification relevant to the curriculum area, and a Masters in Education or relevant higher degree/diploma.   You will hold level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and possess a teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or PGCE).
