The Position

As a Curriculum Leader, you will take a lead role in the development of curriculum delivery of Engineering, and ensure that students are having the best possible experience at the College.  You will be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, and strive to maximise learner success, achievement and retention.  You will also have the ability to develop, promote and review the learning programme portfolio within the curriculum area.

The post will be based at our state of the art campus at Flemingate, Beverley, with some travel to our fantastic campus at St Mary’s Walk, Bridlington.

What we need from you

You will have recent and relevant teaching experience within the curriculum area, as well as experience of course management and College procedures.    You will have knowledge of curriculum developments and the ability to implement various initiatives, as well as experience of mentoring new employees.   

You will possess a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a subject related to the curriculum area, level 2 (or equivalent) literacy and numeracy, and possess or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or PGCE).  An Assessors award (TAQA) and an IQA award are also requirements of the role.

The Position

As a Data Services Administrative Apprentice, you will work with the Data Services team to process learner enrolments and registry data in line with College and audit requirements, and provide general administrative support to the service area.  You will provide support with monitoring accuracy of learner documentation and inform the Data Services Manager of key issues and trends.  The post will be based at our fantastic, state of the art site at Flemingate, Beverley.

What we need from you

You will ideally have experience of data processing and administrative work, as well as experience of working within a team.

You will have good IT skills, be educated to GCSE or level 2 and have good attention to detail. 

The Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration aims to give people the skills and knowledge needed to work in administrative roles in a variety of organisations.  For the intermediate apprenticeship, these include administrators, office juniors, receptionist and junior legal or medical secretaries.

What will I study?

  • ·         Communication in a business environment
  • ·         Principles of providing administrative services
  • ·         Principles of business documentation production and information management
  • ·         Understanding employer organisations
  • ·         Managing personal performance and development
  • ·         Developing working relationships with colleagues

Plus optional units which suit the needs of the business.

The course will last approximately 12 months.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through observation, underpinning knowledge questions, online tests and assignments, plus the development of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence.  There may also be a requirement to undertake level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

What We Need From You

You will have recent and relevant teaching, training and learning experience and in depth experience of NEBOSH and IOSH courses.  You will also have experience of promoting and marketing educational courses to local businesses, and experience of identifying relevant business opportunities would be desirable.

You will possess or be willing to gain a teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE), a NEBOSH certificate and membership of IOSH and level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualification, or a willingness to work towards this.
