East Riding College welcomes more than 1,600 full-time students every year, with thousands more taking part-time and higher education courses. Our main campuses are in the beautiful historic market town of Beverley and the popular coastal resort of Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with a smaller site in Hull.
We are an ambitious College, with a strong desire to improve the high standard of teaching we provide and the campuses our students come to. The stunning new campus at our site in St Mary's Walk in Bridlington opened in 2009 and has proven incredibly popular with students and staff. In Beverley, we have planning permission for a new campus as part of the Flemingate major redevelopment programme and are currently working to progress these plans with a view to opening in 2015.
When the College was last inspected, in February 2011, it was rated by Ofsted as good with many outstanding features, including its care, guidance and support for students, its leadership and management and capacity to improve further. Students were described as making "exceptional progress" with staff being "ambitious for the College and relentless in their pursuit of seeking improvements for learners." See inspection reports for more information.
We are one a select group of colleges to be given Beacon Status for the excellent standard of education we provide and our outstanding leadership, management and financial management. To find out more, read the press release.
We have a growing business development section which provides training for businesses across the UK. We pride ourselves on our flexible approach and ability to tailor our services to employers' needs. See the employers section for more information.
