Level Two BTEC Extended Certificate in Art and Design
This course covers a variety of disciplines within the field of art and design. The programme is made up of six units, all of which must be satisfactorily completed.
This course is available as part of a full-time study programme for 16 to 18 year olds, and as a part-time course for adults aged 19 and over. Please ask learner services for details.

How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through practical activities and written coursework depending on the subject matter. Coursework and practical assessments are based on realistic workplace situations and live assignments where appropriate.
There are also two exams which are taken the spring and summer terms. For more information, request a course handbook.
- Two GCSEs grade D/3 or above to include English
- Or level one diploma
- Or introductory diploma
- Or NVQ level one
- Or equivalent
Interviews for full time courses starting in September are postponed, but don't worry - applicants will instead be given a formal offer of a place on a suitable course. Other entry requirements still apply.

Learners will have the opportunity to add to their main programme of study choosing from a range of A-level options, such as printmaking, photography, textiles and a range of creative craft subjects.
