This course is ideal for learners who work with individuals Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) including dyslexia, dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and who would like to increase their understanding.

What will I study?
This course explores a range of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) and their characteristics to help you to know the differences. Throughout this course, you will develop your understanding of the positive aspects and strengths of individuals with SpLDs in addition to exploring the effects of SpLDs and barriers individuals may face.
You will learn how to provide support for individuals with SpLDs with a focus on the individual themselves and their own unique needs, alongside gaining an understanding of the process of formal diagnosis of SpLDs.
How will the course be delivered?
This is a distance learning course where you will have a reference book and a candidate assessment booklet, and have support from an assessor, with regular feedback on your progress.

What next?
On completion of this course, learners will receive a nationally recognised NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties.
